The New "Axis of Fascism"--And We Is It!

Here's former member of Russian Joint Chiefs of Staff Colonel-General Leonid Ivashov appearing on Russia Today TV, as recorded and transcribed by MEMRI:
A strike against Syria or Iran is an indirect strike against Russia and its interests. Russia would lose important positions and allies in the Arab world. Therefore, by defending Syria, Russia is defending its own interests.

In addition, Russia is thus defending the entire world from Fascism. Everybody should acknowledge that Fascism is making strides on our planet. What they did in Libya is nearly identical to what Hitler and his armies did against Poland and then Russia. Today, therefore, Russia is defending the entire world from Fascism.
With Russia (and China) vetoing the UN Resolution against Syria's Assad -- reducing U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice to sputtering about "disgust[]" (thus proving she's naive) -- how's that famous Obama Administration Russian reset button working?

неудача. From the start and today. That's because foreign policy for the unicorn world "bombs" in the real world.

>>> "How many more need to die before Russia and China allow the UN security council to act?"

Snort. Yeah, 'cause the UNSec has a long history of acting with great success against foreign dictators.

Hope Assad and Putin both go quickly and spare the people of their countries further suffering. Is sovereignty more important that human suffering and murder of innocents?
