I assume The Lord can do that, but I'm not sure anything not holding the title "omnipotent" can do it.
That would truly be a rock too heavy for Him to lift.
Aren't these the same people who believe that evolution is the only explanation for our presence in the here and now?
Does it not occur to them that faced by colder weather, some of the beasties might survive due to some form of genetic selection, allowing them to expand their range? Or that some other change in the range that _we_ consider normal for them might make it less conducive to their survival success, and that might explain the expansion of their range?
They have a very selective, very narrowly channeled view of life...!
