QOTD

From Rich Sandomir's New York Times column, February 17th:
Every time Alex Rodriguez defaulted Tuesday to saying he was stupid, naïve or ignorant for taking steroids, I thought of Dean Wormer’s words to the flunking frat boy Flounder in "Animal House:" "Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son."

Rodriguez forgot to mention in the list that what he did was illegal and deceptive and otherwise simply bad.

Not to mention telling a thoroughly unconvincing tale about unnamed cousins and never talking about it with all his fellow Texas juicing teammates.

Sorry, Carl. I think the experience of many Democrats in Congress (Barney Frank and Chuck Rangel come to mind) would clearly belie the validity of this statement.

Hrm. Word Verification: "Terdnes"
