Eyeless In Gaza

Victor Davis Hanson makes some modest proposals, including1:
1) Request that 50% of Israel's air-to-ground missiles be duds to ensure greater proportionality.

2) Allow Hamas another 1,000 free rocket launches to see if they can catch up with the body count. . .

5) In the interest of fairness, allow Hamas to establish both the date that war is supposed to begin and the date when it must end.

6) Send Israeli military advisers to Hamas to improve the accuracy of their missiles.
I note a Rasmussen poll reporting that "A majority of Democrats (55%) say Israel should have tried to find a diplomatic solution first, a view shared by just 27% of Republicans." Question: What's the diplomatic solution to armed rocket launches? As Power Line's Scott Johnson reports, Hamas "puts ceasefires to good use." And, as Norm Geras said on December 31st:
Hamas could make plain that it will recognize Israel as part of a comprehensive peace settlement that includes the achievement of a Palestinian state. So long as it doesn't do so, it may be that Hamas isn't entirely misunderstood.
It hardly matters: for many, Israel eternally is the villain.

Promise was that I

Ask for this great Deliverer now, and find him

Oh, a Diplomatic Solution. Silly us. Why didn't we think of that?

my word verification is an actual real word for a change - "uniting."

He forgot one:

"8) Insist that Israelis send their children as suicide bombers against civilian targets, and glorify the acts."

Moral Equivalence: Is there anything it can't do?

If the verification word becomes "change," I'm moving to a new domain.

Well said.

The free, civilized world better get together and stop Islam from destroying humanity. Islam and the Koran cause simple lunacy, misery and murder.
