1) Request that 50% of Israel's air-to-ground missiles be duds to ensure greater proportionality.I note a Rasmussen poll reporting that "A majority of Democrats (55%) say Israel should have tried to find a diplomatic solution first, a view shared by just 27% of Republicans." Question: What's the diplomatic solution to armed rocket launches? As Power Line's Scott Johnson reports, Hamas "puts ceasefires to good use." And, as Norm Geras said on December 31st:
2) Allow Hamas another 1,000 free rocket launches to see if they can catch up with the body count. . .
5) In the interest of fairness, allow Hamas to establish both the date that war is supposed to begin and the date when it must end.
6) Send Israeli military advisers to Hamas to improve the accuracy of their missiles.
Hamas could make plain that it will recognize Israel as part of a comprehensive peace settlement that includes the achievement of a Palestinian state. So long as it doesn't do so, it may be that Hamas isn't entirely misunderstood. It hardly matters: for many, Israel eternally is the villain.

Ask for this great Deliverer now, and find him
