Clinton was virulently anti-conservative in his rhetoric, but center-left in his governance. I blame him more for being a drifter in search of a legacy more than anything.
> I'll probably take heat for this, but for four years (1994-1998), Clinton wasn't too bad a Republican President, at least on domestic policy.
Well, other than the effort to ram UK style healthcare down our throats, and the determination to ignore SSec reform... and I don't claim that to be an all-inclusive list.
We've had many worse Dem presidents than Clinton, however, in fiscal policies. That's not saying a lot, though.
OBH, Carl is referring to those chastened years after the health care initiative got shot down. He looked around and said "If I want to get re-elected, I'm going to have to rein my wife in." She devoted her energy into spying on him and covering his sorry butt. She was good at it, too.
Face it, Bill Clinton was the best President this country has ever had....at least until jealous, impotent Republicans started tearing him down as retribution against the Democrats for dealing with Nixon in an appropriate manner.
Why are people so small that they decline to give people their due?
Is it just because Bill got the job and women that others wanted?
Yeah, all of our problems must be blamed on Bill Clinton. That would make all those jealous men and insecure women happy.
Alternatively, we can do what the smart New Yorkers are doing and make it possible for Bill Clinton to run for a third and 4th term in order to bail us out of the mess we are in.

Great. First the USSR, then France, and China, now Canada. Pretty soon we'll be the only lefty communist state remaining on the planet...

Hey, I know. Let's blame Bill Clinton. That's the usual.

Does anyone vote out of POSITIVE reasons?
