[T]he normally loquacious mayor of London, who earned considerable respect after the bombings for his restrained response, said in a BBC interview on Wednesday that the blame lay with "80 years of Western intervention into predominantly Arab lands because of the Western need for oil."The Mayor of London isn't normally a foreign policy position, but questions for Ken:
Asked if he denounced the London bombers, he said he also denounced "those governments which use indiscriminate slaughter to advance their foreign policy, as we have occasionally seen with the Israeli government bombing areas from which a terrorist group will have come, irrespective of the casualties it inflicts, women, children and men."
1) If the West quit buying mid-East oil tomorrow, would terrorism stop? Would the circumstances of ordinary middle-Easterners improve?
2) If Israel caused terrorism, why did terrorism exist before the state of Israel? Was Al Qaeda, for example, formed to combat Israel?
No. I hereby issue a conservative Fatwa on the fat-headed Mayor of London.

Agreed.
Red Ken is a caricature- no more, no less.
Well expensive oil will end all problems:

It funds the purchase of explosive materials, the education on how to compound them, and the practical matters of getting to where you can explode your bomb.
Not to mention expensive schools in Switzerland where you can send your kids and go skiing, far away from the religious police.
