QOTD

From the Congressional Budget Office's "Reducing the Deficit: Spending and Revenue Options" (March 2011), at 12:
CBO projects that spending for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and other health care programs will grow from 9.9 percent of GDP in 2010 to 12.0 percent by 2021, driven largely by rapid growth in health care costs.
As the WaPo's Jennifer Rubin says, "There is no bending of the cost curve under ObamaCare."

10:1 this is entirely inaccurate.

I'll bet a big green dollar to your 10 shiny new cents that it's going to bend the curve... upwards.

Any takers?

Take that bet NOW!!

After all, once the inflation/////// (sorry, "quantitative easing") has occurred, the dollar will be worth only 10 cents anyway.

:D

OBH is right. It definitely bends the curve upwards, and what is worst, it shifts more costs to those who are not governmentally insured.

So we can certainly assume that more workers will be shifted to the exchange than anticipated.

No bet--the CBO's already confirmed that healthcare costs will increase even faster. I'm beginning to think Obamacare was a plot to force single-payer.

Carl, for liberals, screwing things up is just another excuse to impose more government control... even when it was the government controls that screwed things up in the very first place.
