QsOTD

Despite the mullahs' long-time repression of women, the newest member of the UN's Commission on Woman's Rights is . . . Iran. And, as Jennifer Rubin observes at Commentary:
The U.S. couldn’t muster a word of opposition -- not even call for a vote. That would be because . . . why? Because our policy is not to confront and challenge the brutal regime for which rape and discrimination are institutionalized policies. No, rather, we are in the business of trying to ingratiate ourselves, and making the U.S. as inoffensive as possible to the world’s thugocracies. We’d no sooner object to Iran on the UN Commission on the Status of Women than we would leave the UN Council on Human Rights. It is what this administration does and how they envision raising our status in the world.
Victor Davis Hanson correctly concludes:
This administration has developed a bad habit of talking tough and bullying friendly constitutional states while reaching out to hostile and bad-acting dictatorships. In general, that is unwise foreign policy. In terms of nuclear politics it is dangerous beyond belief.
It's also inevitable, says Daniel at Venezuela News and Views:
[The U.S. is] entering the world of welfare state where business is essential to support its cost. Europeans have thus become masters at making deals with all sorts of unsavory regimes because bills need to get paid and taxes to pay them are collected from these business deals. The Obama administration took over a country in crisis and is using expensive means to find its way out. Europeanization of its foreign policy is almost a given.

So, multinational corporations with no loyalty to American interests are a dangerous thing; but an American government with loyalty to UN rather than American interests is a good thing.

I repeat:

All of it makes sense in the context of a Cloward-Piven strategy.

At some point, you have to give up excusing it and ack that that's what is going on -- outright treason.

Oh, man, what a word verif: "putshe". Not quite the correct spelling but certainly homophonic.

I found this link to info on our "representative" to the UN. Apparently she's "not so much".

Wonder what she's getting paid for doing nothing...

And personally, I'm all in favor of getting _us_ out of the UN, and getting the UN out of the US...but that's just me.

You know...I checked out the John Birch Society a number of years ago. Elected not to join, but although they seem a bit far out, they haven't been so wrong on a number of things. This is one of them.

What we need are more people like John Bolton....

Yeah, Obama will do that. Right Away.
