UNEP has an important--indeed a critical--message, but it is delivering it in the wrong language to the wrong audience. It is attached to the wrong narrative. It will never position itself to do what is needed until it finds the right language and narrative. The force of this message cannot be over-emphasized. UNEP’s success depends on getting this right. They've already won in Britain.
The environment should compete with religion as the only compelling, value-based narrative available to humanity.

I suppose we should be grateful the deception is flowing away - they no longer think they need it.
So the only way to win an argument allegedly based on science is through an appeal to faith or similar instincts?
holy shit.

Your error, here, bob, is in thinking that the argument has EVER been based on science.
I did say 'allegedly'.
It's not really rocket science. Well okay, I suppose it's really not science at all.
