There will be a lot more lawyers in Barack Obama's White House Counsel's Office than there were under George W. Bush. Obama last week announced the appointments of 22 lawyers to the office last week, including three deputy counsel, one special counsel, 14 associate counsel, and four deputy associate counsel. Comparatively, Bush had just one deputy and, for most of his term, 10 or fewer associates.
