Why Reinforce Unless You Think it Will Work?

As reported in the Washington Post:
President-elect Barack Obama intends to sign off on Pentagon plans to send up to 30,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan, but the incoming administration does not anticipate that the Iraq-like "surge" of forces will significantly change the direction of a conflict that has steadily deteriorated over the past seven years.
Remember:
Obama opposed the Iraq invasion and said the surge wouldn't work. [Then,] Obama dissented from the surge after it succeeded.
So, in the months to come, I anticipate good news from Afghanistan.

Ah, but will it be true or will it be the media lying to cover Obama's ass?

Perhaps the Taliban should be encouraged to rush into the arms of Allah as soon as possible and take no infidels with them into the presence of the God they use as an excuse to kill and maim non-Islamic people.
