Obamessiah Suck-Up of the Day

From Sean Penn's seemingly endless piece (there's a sequel) on Puffington Host:
Sitting in the Salon de Protocol at the Convention Palace in Havana's Miramar district, all I had to do was tell the five-foot-six bespectacled man who sat in the chair across from me in his khaki dress militaries, that these words would not be published until after the American election. And with that, granting his first ever interview to a foreign journalist since the beginning of the 1957 Cuban revolution, President Raul Castro smiled warmly and simply said, "We want Obama." His initial reluctance was due to a concern that an endorsement by a Cuban president might be detrimental to the Obama candidacy.
Penn held news of the endorsement until last week.

That first sentence of Penn's reminds me of The Bulwer-Lytton Contest
The winners are those who submit the worst opening sentences to imaginary novels.

Penn could win hands down.

That sentence in unsalvageable; one must destroy it in order to save it.

But we've found out before that Sean Penn's non-acting skills have real limitations.

Like much of Hollywood, Penn mistakenly thinks that acting acuity translates into policy preference.
