We often hear that freedom can only be fully appreciated when it’s taken away. While that may be true, I believe that freedom can only be fully enjoyed when it's taken for granted. When we have to concentrate on each breath, we cannot truly enjoy our health. When we as citizens have to remain constantly vigilant, we cannot truly enjoy our liberty.(via The Corner)

It's the first time I've paid attention to this. My fourth son has had his physical, his ASVAB, his MEPS, and will be going into the Corps any day now.
