Obamessiah Suck-Up of the Day

Various anchors and guests held a suck-up competition on Monday's Good Morning America (ABC), as they raced each other for the pole position in praising President-elect Obama's initial cabinet choices. As reported by Newsbusters.org, the rapture included:

Co-host Diane Sawyer introducing the segment: "And we're going to turn now to President-elect Obama and his new team of economic gladiators."

Co-host Robin Roberts: "Some would say it's a team of rivals, a la President Lincoln, or is a better comparison a team of geniuses as FDR did?"

George Stephanopoulos: "Well, Robin, he's already doing more than any incoming president has ever done this quickly. . . We have not seen this kind of combination of star power and brain power and political muscle this early in a cabinet in our lifetimes."

Though I would have called it impossible, the press has become more partisan since the election.¹
