What If?

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi recently debunked worries about the end of divided government should Democrats control both the White House and Congress next year:
Elect us, hold us accountable, and make a judgment and then go from there. But I do tell you that if the Democrats win, and have substantial majorities, Congress of the United States will be more bipartisan.
As Dave Barry would say, I am not making this up!

Consider the media coverage had the quote been from Sarah Palin. Better yet, imagine the indignation had President Bush said this. Actually, no need for imagination--the tin-foil hat dean of the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover, Lawrence Velvel, went there already:
Writing in his latest book, "An Enemy of the People,"(Doukathsan Press) Velvel said, "In everyday life, someone who refuses to recognize the actual facts of the world around him, and who instead lives in a dream world in his head, is regarded as not being sane, as being, to use the blunt words, insane or crazy. Why is it different when it is a national leader who refuses to recognize facts in the world and instead lives in a dream world in his head?"
I note that Pelosi's third in line for the Presidency.
