Interestingly:
Though people with greater education generally have greater exposure to news, those with greater education are only slightly more likely to attribute 9/11 to al Qaeda. [WPO Staff Director] Steven Kull comments, "It does not appear that these beliefs can simply be attributed to a lack of exposure to information."

Education doesn't teach wisdom or common sense.
If anything, modern education dulls it, replacing it with egotistical and arrogant presumptions of knowledge extention -- "I have a wide understanding of this complex topic. Therefore, I must also be able to understand and comment rationally on *all* complex topics."
It's the same sort of irrational reasoning so obvious in the semi-educated Hollywood Celebrity type.
