Second, Waiting at the Airport, QOTD

From the latest McCain video, seen on Captain Ed:
You know, I am a believer in … in knowing what you’re doing when you apply for a job. Uh, and I think that … if I were seriously to consider running on a national ticket, I would essentially have to start now, before having served a day in the Senate. Now there may be some people who are comfortable doing that, but I am not one of those people.
The speaker? Barack Obama, 2004. Ann Althouse calls it "devastating."

It's only devastating if you have a connection to reality.

Unfortunately, that caveat is regularly broken, especially with liberals.

The ad is...what's a 'bigger' word than devastating?

Catastrophic!

Presidential aspiration ending, air rushing out of the torn balloon, car out-of-gas, fumble the ball at the 10 yard line ending...

Take away the teleprompter and this guys TOAST.

NOT because he's isn't smart.

Its because his positions are indefensible against knowledgeable criticism and, he lacks the experience to know how to spin them in a way that seemingly addresses the criticism.

So he comes across as hesitant and then is caught contradicting his earlier self.

Cause he's winging it without guiding principle's or at least ones he can admit too and he doesn't have the experience of an old politician at 'spinning', so he's LOST at 'sea'.

Actually, I was talking about this with my mother regarding the Obama Convention speech (she's 70, and even she spotted how utterly bereft of "hows" it was, but that it said just about everything people there wanted to hear -- he was playing them like a cheap harmonica).

With Lefties (and, generally, Dems since most of them are far Lefties), in addition to the previously discussed "Midnight Reset Button", the pencil is broken.

The one which connects dots.

Their heads are filled with all these dots (memes, gestalts), but there's no mechanism of any kind which connects them together.

So they have no trouble of any kind maintaining two mutually exclusive sets of data in their heads at once. Because the only way to notice would be to connect those two dots together and grasp that they are at odds, that they cannot both be true at the same time.

This may tie to the Midnight Reset Button, since connecting dots makes more work for The Button, so it went and broke the Dot-Connector Pencil to make its existence easier....

A Functioning Link, at the moment, since it's not easy to find straight up -- most links right now go to a broken YouTube entry or an equally broken BlipTV feed:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m89m0pC_bpY

I believe one key phrase to be searching on is "Know Enough?" if that link stops working. AmericanIssueProject would be another keyword, since I don't anticipate Obama's people allowing that one to continue existing, either. AIP Homepage if nothing else works.

YouTube -- Remember how much they stand for Free Speech -- right here, right now.
