The America's Future Foundation named Joe Malchow's Dartblog the winner of AFF's College Blogger Contest. Judged by Instapundit's Glenn Reynolds, Reason Magazine's Radley Balko and NRO's Jonah Goldberg, among others, the award made Malchow $10,000 richer.
Dartblog was one of the first sites I visited and linked regularly. It's an excellent blog. But I have another connection with Joe: Dartblog took second place in the 2004 Weblog Awards for Best of the Top 5000-6750 (Ecosystem Based) blog (you'll have to take my word for it--the specific vote tallies apparently weren't archived). Since then, Dartblog has become far better, and far more popular, than NOfP, and deservedly so.
My congratulations to Joe Malchow--the recognition and the reward are warranted.
