Kofi Lies

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan published an op-ed in Saturday's WaPo that pushed him into a higher category of 'loathsome.' The piece praises the democratization of the recent Iraqi elections and vows "to make certain that the United Nations will play its full part in helping the Iraqi people achieve that end." All this without ever mentioning the United States. All this without acknowledging that: The UN already tried to take credit for the Tsunami relief actually performed by America and Australia. But this is a new low, says Paul at Wizbang:
Quit patting yourself on the back for what the United States has done and get your ass to work. There's plenty enough heavy lifting to be done before you go taking credit for the whole thing. Actions speak louder than words.

We all appreciate your "Little Red Hen" impersonation. Now get something done and we'll be more impressed. Until then, can you at least try to stay out the damn way?
Were the UN in charge, Saddam would still be in power, still planting Iraqis in anonymous mass graves. So shut up Kofi, "You've done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last?"

According to Tom at The Wide Awakes, the UN's Iraq fiasco is being replayed in the Sudan, where China, France and Russia have economic incentives to prolong the current genocide.
