The American Red Cross already has raised nearly $8.5 million in non-governmental aid to those hit by the tsunami. They're still accepting donations. The You Big Mouth, You blog lists amounts raised and links to non-governmental donors.

According to Jeff Jarvis, the U.S. government has pledged over $350 million in tsunami-relief aid. Meanwhile, the American Red Cross is up to $9.6 million. Still say stingy?
