Kerry Tales, Part XXIX

Perhaps the WaPo thought classifying Kerry as a "Dove" was positive. But with friends like that, the Haughty Hairdo doesn't need enemies:
[T]he record he has compiled in the three decades since he left Vietnam is more dovish than that of any Democratic nominee since McGovern.
The story also confirms recent flip-flops: "Candidate Kerry, in short, sounds different from Senator Kerry." This echoes the President at last night's gathering of Republican governors:
We meet during the presidential primary season. We're witnessing a clear trend -- it looks like we have a winner in the Republican primaries. The other party's nomination battle is still playing out. The candidates are an interesting group, with diverse opinions: For tax cuts, and against them. For NAFTA, and against NAFTA. For the Patriot Act, and against the Patriot Act. In favor of liberating Iraq, and opposed to it. And that's just one senator from Massachusetts.
It's only February but already Kerry's taunted as an opportunist and acknowledged as a liberal. Two more reasons for optimism. Kerry = McGovern = Flip-Flop. Fickle Massachusetts Liberal.

McGovern, McGovern, McGovern, McGovern, McGovern. Did I already mention McGovern?
