Newspaper Article of the Day

The first sentence in an article in the February 16th Contra Costa Times (Cal.):
An Occupy Oakland protester has been charged criminally for kicking a police sergeant last Saturday night following a peaceful march protesting police brutality.
Is that Orwellian or what? BTW, contrary to the lede, the remainder of the article reveals:
The arrests came after a group of about 20 protesters, who were among the estimated 75 that had marched through downtown and West Oakland, surrounded a California Highway Patrol officer who was arresting a motorist for drunken driving. The crowd started angrily shouting, but tensions eased after Oakland police officers arrived at 14th and Clay streets.

As police were leaving, McGarrah was arrested on suspicion of battery after allegedly kicking a police car and Holmgren's leg. He was not seriously injured.

McGarrah is currently on probation following the November 2010 felony arson charge for setting a garbage can on fire during a protest over the killing of Oscar Grant by former BART police officer Johannes Mehserle on New Year's Day 2009. The outcome of that case was not immediately available Thursday.

Aside from the two arrests, the Saturday night march was the second to go off relatively peacefully.
It's all relative to the media.

Naw... y'see, you're reading it wrong:

>> has been charged criminally for kicking a police sergeant last Saturday night following a peaceful march protesting police brutality

He kicked the police sergeant AFTER the peaceful part of the protest march, y'see?

It was peaceful up to *that* point.

Y'just gotta learn how liberal "fact"-parsing works...

Uhhhmaaaazing...

According to the MFMSM:

The various Tea Party marches and assemblies were all hostile and racist and distastefully un-American (even though nothing happened except the occasional outburst of the nation anthem &/or Pledge of Allegiance; these folks even picked up their own trash)

while

The "Occupy" protests are good, noble, and "peaceful" despite the rapes, drug use, attacks on LEO's, garbage, rat infestations, and public elimination.

Do the jackasses who play at "journalism" these days never- ever- EVER take their heads out of their nether regions to see if "reality" shows any similarity (however vague) to their reportage???

LOL, don't you violate your union membership as a libtard idiot if you own a gun at all?
