QsOTDecade

In addition to the Quotes of the Year, John Hawkins at Right Wing News collects the "Top 20 Political Quotes of the Decade." Number 13 is Chris Matthews' Obamessiah Suck-Up:
I have to tell you, you know, it's part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama's speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg.
Senator John Kerry's famous 2004 campaign defense comes in at 5:
I actually did vote for the $87 billion before I voted against it.
And George W. Bush's magnificent September 20, 2001, speech to Congress is number 4:

The vast amount of endless Doublethink required to maintain such an obvious level of self-deception is particularly revealing...

You know...if we'd been through this health care bill morass before he made that statement, I might have been a lot more charitable about it...

It makes a lot more sense these days.

Not that I'd be any more likely to agree with him, but the comment would make more sense than it did then before we'd gotten more versed in the goings on of the Senate...
