I thought Bacon Day was the first Saturday in September. But, apparently, every Saturday is Bacon Day, at least at for Nick, who made "the BA-K-47, a 1:1 scale AK-47 made out of bacon. It took a total of eight hours to create, a lot of bacon, and a blowtorch":
