The Ever Adaptive Bureaucracy

The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles recently released a "Gender Designation Change Form":
I hereby swear, under the penalty of perjury, that this request for the selected gender designation to appear on my Driver’s License/ID Card is for the purpose of ensuring that my Driver’s License/ID Card accurately reflects my gender identity and is not for any fraudulent or other unlawful purpose.
The form must be co-signed by a licensed Physician or a therapist or a counselor or a psychiatric social worker.

LOL, OBH.

So, if you believe you are a woman in a man's body, you can have your ID say female even though physically you are a male?

After reading the form, it appears this is the case. OMFG.

Very good OBH.

And, yes, bobn, you could--with the signature of a pliant "counselor."

I formally reject this blatant paternal sexism !!!

I want *MY* Mass. License to say "Optional"...

I mean, what if I have a mood swing?
