Obama's victory was so powerful, it may have changed Arizona two weeks before the election. Responding to a letter from the president of Arizona’s Hispanic Bar Association (known as Los Abogados), state Supreme Court Chief Justice Ruth McGregor sent all judges Los Abogados' request to ban the terms "illegal" and "aliens" when referring to illegal immigrants in the state’s courtrooms.

Excising the word "illegal" from courtrooms would require powerful mojo. Especially because Arizona voters just rejected a business-community-sponsored initiative "to gut the state's toughest-in-the-nation immigration law."

I wonder if Obama will take sides--is there anything he can't do?
