Suggestion

McCain is said to dislike Mitt Romney--and, worse, not to respect him. But, whatever Romney's weaknesses, there is no denying that he was a successful businessman--indeed, as Powerline's John Hinderaker observed, "as successful as anyone can be." Economic issues aren't McCain's strength. So, in the current financial crisis, shouldn't McCain seek advice from the former Massachusetts Governor? Perhaps sub rosa at first, but openly should Romney willingly act the respectful, less-than-Vice Presidential, subordinate?

I think Palin is a better overall choice, but I admit that McCain would look much stronger this week with Romney as his running mate.
