Observation

I think I understand how Europe saves energy. They have dryers that take three cycles to turn clothes moist enough to hang over the backs of chairs until dry.

Yeah, my aunt and uncle (both boomers) have a "Green" washing machine that can't clean crap, and if you put in too much soap, you have to wash it again because it doesn't rinse the clothes for crap, either.

Then they spend about 30 mins for each load hanging it out to dry on a clothesline, and bringing it back in. Luckily, this is in FLA, where there is enough sun to actually dry things.

I've never asked them how much one of them makes in a half hour (Hint: he's the #3 guy at a community college, she's a 30-year teacher with a Master's), or what an hour's worth of electricity costs.

I really doubt if it would matter one whit. Being lifelong Dems, the notion of "pennywise, pound foolish" is utterly lost on them.

She was a pro-Hillary Dem, but I am quite certain they're not PUMAs, and are utterly certain to be in the Obama camp by now, esp. as she always liked Biden.

Yes, candidates for those imaginary clue metrics I've suggested must exist.
