Wednesday's IHT has a must-read by Roger Cohen. It's about the possibly life-saving kindness of a young Karol Wojtyla--toward a starving 13 year-old Polish Jew newly liberated from a Nazi labor camp.
For a miracle to be used in the canonizaton process of the Catholic Church it must occur after the person's death and it can not be explained away medically.
