A Pair of Votes

This was the first Presidential race where the parties deployed the identical top-level strategy: "get out the vote." As predicted, turnout at Tuesday's election set new records. But local Louisiana election officials had a better plan, according to the Times-Picayune:
Not disposed to inhibit new ways the elections office in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana is guranteed to draw even more voters next election, Debbie Dupeire was so intent on helping to re-elect the president Tuesday that she shucked her Bush-Cheney T-shirt and voted in her bra after being told that state election law prohibits displaying a candidate's name in a polling place.

"I really thought it was OK to wear my shirt. I didn't go there to cause trouble," said the 38-year-old makeup artist from Jefferson. . .

So Dupeire pulled off the offending red-white-and-blue shirt and marched into the booth at Deckbar Elementary School clad in her white sports bra, exercise pants and flip-flops.
Instapundit calls it "Bush or Bust!"

It's a good start, Professor Reynolds, but too timid. Can you imagine the turnout when all polling stations are relocated to strip clubs?
