Maybe There Were 10,000 Dead in New Orleans

Apparently a hurricane wasn't deadly enough for reproductive rights lobbyists and clinics--many offer free abortions for pregnant women displaced by Katrina.

How tasteless? Like your aesthetic taste is offended by the thought? How about this- how about the tasteless view of the pile of aborted babies... I find that Carl has highlighted the supreme contradiction of human misery.

Some people consider their blinders to be their artistic way with life. Just don't show me and I can believe that it's all good.

It's all good...It's all good....It's all good...It's all good....

Ilona, I agree with you. I guess "tasteless" was the wrong to use. On the contrary, the headline was full of taste - bitter, disgusting taste. : (

After I posted my comment I kinda struggled inside myself.. was I too hard, but I couldn't get over the incongruent picture of the word with the gravity of how .. I still am at a loss for words.

Too bad to take it out on you- but it hits me sort of hard, I don't know why. One of those gut things.

I feel as strongly about what I said about the subject, but sorry I took it out on you- you personally meant something different. Thanks for the further clarification.

It's quite all right. The reason I wrote "tasteless" was because that was the word that came to my mind - although I mean more like "opportunistic". I don't think the people promoting this really care about the women but about their own agenda. And they *really* picked the wrong time to do this.

Exactly! This is about the left-wing agenda. Even supposing abortion properly is lawful, Democrats like Clinton once committed to public policies making abortion "safe, legal and rare." Like grocery store coupons, giving away free abortions will stimulate demand. So much for rare.
