Losing My Religion

Alert reader Stewart Olson notes the March 2004 issue of Scientific American includes a James Hansen article defending global warming (subscribers and dead tree only). The issue also contains an editorial titled "The Climate Leadership Vacuum." Can you guess the conclusions?

I'm suspicious. Remember that the January 2002 Scientific American was an un-scientific lynching of Bjorn Lomborg and his book The Skeptical Environmentalist. So, as recently as two years ago, the magazine preferred punishing deviation from liberal orthodoxy to publishing verifiable data or describing reproducible experiments. I'll post an analysis of the article next week.
