Now it is a ticking time bomb that President-elect Barack Obama can't avoid.Of course, Borenstein is dead wrong. Warming is anything but accelerating: temperatures have been falling for years. I think Obama knows it. But the media seems incapable of fact-checking.
Since Clinton's inauguration, summer Arctic sea ice has lost the equivalent of Alaska, California and Texas. The 10 hottest years on record have occurred since Clinton's second inauguration. Global warming is accelerating. Time is close to running out, and Obama knows it.

I think this is far from news. I think it's drifted into the "Pretty F***ing Duh!" arena.
The annual global temp peaked in 1998 and has been slowly receding since then. I have yet to see an explanation why this is. I have read many speculations.
